A service station was constructed at this property in the late 1940s, with three underground storage tanks (4,000-, 3,000-, and 500-gallon capacities) serving fuel dispensing operations. Cleanup under the Standard Cleanup program has included removal of multiple USTs in 1990 and 1995, excavation and off-site treatment of 62 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil, installation of a groundwater monitoring well in 1997, and repair of a faulty vent system to prevent petroleum vapor intrusion.
